Privacy Policy
This policy explains what FindWear (“we”, “the app”) collects, why, and who we share it with. FindWear is a visual clothing search app: you upload a photo of a garment and we find similar products for sale online.
1. Data we process
Account information
You can use FindWear as a guest, or sign in with an email address, Google or Apple. If you sign in, we store your user ID, and — depending on the method — your email address and display name. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password.
Photos you upload
The photo you choose is sent to our server to run the search. See section 2 for exactly what happens to it.
Search settings
The country and language you select are sent with each search so that results match your market.
Data kept only on your device
Your favourites, search history, remaining search allowance, purchased search credits and app-icon choice are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us, and they are deleted when you delete the app.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles. We do not collect your location, contacts or your photo library beyond the single image you pick for a search.
2. What happens to your photos
When you start a search, the photo goes through the following steps:
- It is sent to our server over an encrypted connection.
- It is analysed by Google Gemini to describe the garment and to detect whether the photo is a portrait or does not contain clothing.
- If the photo is a portrait (a person’s face is the subject), the search is stopped and the image is not sent to any search engine. This is a deliberate privacy protection.
- Otherwise the image is uploaded to a temporary image-hosting service so that it has a public URL, because the visual search engine can only fetch images from a URL.
- That URL is passed to SerpApi, which runs a Google Lens visual search and returns matching products.
Important — please read. The temporary image-hosting step means that the photo you search with is placed on a third-party file host and is reachable by anyone who knows its URL. The URL is random and is not published by us, but the image is not private while it is hosted there. Do not search with photos that contain faces, documents, personal information or anything you would not want to be publicly reachable.
3. Third parties
To provide the search we share data with the following processors:
- Google Firebase (Authentication) — account creation and sign-in. Receives your email address and user identifier.
- Google Gemini API — receives the photo to analyse the garment and to run the portrait / not-clothing check.
- SerpApi — receives the image URL and your chosen country/language to run the visual product search.
- Temporary image hosting — receives the photo so that it can be given a URL for the step above.
- Apple — processes subscriptions and one-time purchases.
These providers are located outside your country, including in the United States, so your data may be transferred internationally. We share only what is needed for the search to work.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions (monthly and yearly) and one-time search packs are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your card number or billing details. We only learn whether your subscription is active and how many searches you have bought.
5. Retention
- Photos: not stored in a permanent database by us. Copies held by the analysis and hosting services above are subject to their own retention rules and may persist for a period we do not control.
- Account data: kept until you delete your account.
- On-device data: kept until you clear it in the app or delete the app.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the KVKK in Türkiye) you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to processing.
You can delete your account and its data at any time: open the app, go to Profile, scroll down and tap Delete Account. You can also clear your favourites and search history from the same screen. If you would rather we do it for you, email us using the address below.
7. Children
FindWear is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Questions, requests or complaints:

1. İşlediğimiz veriler
Hesap bilgileri
FindWear’ı misafir olarak kullanabilir ya da e-posta, Google veya Apple ile giriş yapabilirsiniz. Giriş yaparsanız kullanıcı kimliğinizi ve yönteme bağlı olarak e-posta adresinizi ve görünen adınızı saklarız. Kimlik doğrulama Google Firebase Authentication ile yapılır; şifrenizi hiçbir zaman görmez ve saklamayız.
Yüklediğiniz fotoğraflar
Seçtiğiniz fotoğraf aramayı çalıştırmak için sunucumuza gönderilir. Fotoğrafa tam olarak ne olduğu 2. bölümde anlatılmıştır.
Arama ayarları
Seçtiğiniz ülke ve dil, sonuçların pazarınıza uygun olması için her aramayla birlikte gönderilir.
Yalnızca cihazınızda kalan veriler
Favorileriniz, arama geçmişiniz, kalan arama hakkınız, satın aldığınız arama kredileri ve uygulama ikonu tercihiniz iPhone’unuzda yerel olarak saklanır. Bize yüklenmez ve uygulamayı sildiğinizde ortadan kalkar.
Toplamadıklarımız
Reklam takipçisi kullanmıyor, veri satmıyor ve reklam profili oluşturmuyoruz. Konumunuzu, rehberinizi ya da arama için seçtiğiniz tek görsel dışında fotoğraf kitaplığınızı toplamıyoruz.
2. Fotoğrafınıza ne oluyor
Bir arama başlattığınızda fotoğraf şu adımlardan geçer:
- Şifreli bir bağlantı üzerinden sunucumuza gönderilir.
- Kıyafeti tanımlamak ve fotoğrafın portre olup olmadığını ya da kıyafet içerip içermediğini tespit etmek için Google Gemini tarafından analiz edilir.
- Fotoğraf bir portre ise (kişinin yüzü öznedir) arama durdurulur ve görsel hiçbir arama motoruna gönderilmez. Bu, bilinçli bir gizlilik korumasıdır.
- Aksi hâlde görsel, geçici bir görsel barındırma servisine yüklenerek herkese açık bir adrese (URL) kavuşur; çünkü görsel arama motoru yalnızca URL üzerinden görsel çekebilir.
- Bu URL SerpApi’ye iletilir; SerpApi Google Lens görsel aramasını çalıştırır ve eşleşen ürünleri döndürür.
Önemli — lütfen okuyun. Geçici barındırma adımı, aramada kullandığınız fotoğrafın üçüncü taraf bir dosya sunucusuna konduğu ve adresini bilen herkesin erişebileceği anlamına gelir. Adres rastgeledir ve bizim tarafımızdan yayınlanmaz, ancak orada barındırıldığı sürece görsel gizli değildir. Yüz, kimlik/belge, kişisel bilgi ya da herkese açık olmasını istemeyeceğiniz içerik taşıyan fotoğraflarla arama yapmayın.
3. Üçüncü taraflar
Aramayı gerçekleştirmek için verileri şu hizmet sağlayıcılarla paylaşırız:
- Google Firebase (Authentication) — hesap oluşturma ve giriş. E-posta adresinizi ve kullanıcı kimliğinizi alır.
- Google Gemini API — kıyafet analizi ile portre / kıyafet-değil kontrolü için fotoğrafı alır.
- SerpApi — görsel ürün aramasını çalıştırmak için görsel adresini ve seçtiğiniz ülke/dili alır.
- Geçici görsel barındırma — yukarıdaki adım için fotoğrafa adres verilmesini sağlar.
- Apple — abonelikleri ve tek seferlik satın almaları işler.
Bu sağlayıcılar ülkenizin dışında, ABD dâhil olmak üzere farklı ülkelerde bulunur; dolayısıyla verileriniz yurt dışına aktarılabilir. Yalnızca aramanın çalışması için gerekli olanı paylaşırız.
4. Satın almalar
Abonelikler (aylık ve yıllık) ve tek seferlik arama paketleri Apple App Store üzerinden satılır. Ödemeyi Apple işler; kart numaranızı veya fatura bilgilerinizi hiçbir zaman almayız. Yalnızca aboneliğinizin etkin olup olmadığını ve kaç arama satın aldığınızı biliriz.
5. Saklama süreleri
- Fotoğraflar: tarafımızca kalıcı bir veritabanında saklanmaz. Yukarıdaki analiz ve barındırma servislerindeki kopyalar, bizim kontrolümüzde olmayan kendi saklama kurallarına tabidir.
- Hesap verileri: hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır.
- Cihazdaki veriler: uygulamadan temizleyene ya da uygulamayı silene kadar kalır.
6. Haklarınız
Bulunduğunuz ülkeye göre (örneğin Türkiye’de KVKK, AB/İngiltere’de GDPR kapsamında) kişisel verilerinize erişme, düzeltme, silme, taşıma ve işlenmesine itiraz etme haklarına sahipsiniz.
Hesabınızı ve verilerini istediğiniz zaman silebilirsiniz: uygulamada Profil’e girin, aşağı inin ve Hesabı Sil’e dokunun. Favorilerinizi ve arama geçmişinizi de aynı ekrandan temizleyebilirsiniz. Sizin adınıza yapmamızı isterseniz aşağıdaki adresten yazın.
7. Çocuklar
FindWear 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bilerek onların verilerini toplamayız. Bir çocuğun bize kişisel veri verdiğini düşünüyorsanız bizimle iletişime geçin, veriyi silelim.
8. Değişiklikler ve iletişim
Bu politikada esaslı bir değişiklik olursa sayfanın üstündeki tarihi güncelleriz ve gerektiğinde uygulama içinden bilgilendiririz. Soru, talep ve şikâyetleriniz için:
